Most injector courses run out of a rented hotel ballroom with one model and a slideshow. Ours don’t. Injector Training Academy (ITA) trains inside eight working Texas med spas, where trainees see real consultations, real patients, and the daily rhythm of an aesthetics practice, not a simulation of one.
The program is open to RNs, NPs, PAs, physicians, and dentists.
Before you book, it helps to know two things: what your specific license allows you to do with a needle in Texas, and which of our eight locations makes sense for you.
Section one
What Your License Allows You to Do in Texas
Texas lets physicians delegate Botox and filler injections to RNs, NPs, and PAs under a written protocol. That’s a big part of why so much of the state’s cosmetic injecting is done by nurses and mid-levels rather than physicians alone. It’s also why Texas draws students from more restrictive states, since a nurse who can barely inject under supervision back home often has real independence here once the paperwork is in order. But delegation has real rules behind it, and they trip people up more than you’d expect.
The LVN line trips up more med spas than anything else on this list. An LVN can’t inject in Texas even with a physician standing in the room, and even with a private certification in hand. If you’re building a team, that’s worth knowing before you hire, not after.

Colleyville
6222 Colleyville Blvd. #B, Colleyville, TX 76034. Known for full facial balancing work. A good fit for nurses looking to sharpen more advanced injection skills, and close enough to DFW Airport to be a natural stop for out-of-state students.
Dallas
2520 N Carroll Ave, Dallas, TX 75204. Our flagship site. Fast-paced, with a wide mix of patient needs that pushes trainees to think on their feet.
Fort Worth
4701 West Fwy, Suite 152, Fort Worth, TX 76107. Focused on Botox and filler technique under direct supervision from certified injector trainers.
Plano
Inside Phenix Suites of Willow Bend, 5964 W Parker Rd, Suite 107, Plano, TX 75093. High-volume med spa, with an emphasis on applying advanced technique to real cases rather than practicing in the abstract.
The Woodlands

Section three
Choosing Between Locations
Most students pick based on distance first, and that’s a reasonable place to start. Colleyville sits close enough to DFW Airport that flying in and driving straight to campus is realistic for a single day. Dallas and Fort Worth work the same way if you’re already in North Texas. Austin, The Woodlands, and Waxahachie draw more from their own regional pull.
Beyond distance, it’s worth asking what kind of patient mix each clinic sees. Colleyville and Plano tend to see more advanced, full-face cases, which suits someone who already has some injection experience and wants to sharpen technique. Argyle and Waxahachie run smaller and more personal, which some trainees prefer if they want more one-on-one time with a lead injector rather than rotating through a busier schedule. None of the eight locations is a lesser version of the others. They’re just different environments, and matching yourself to the right one tends to make the week more useful.
Section four
The Curriculum: Technique Through Business Operations
The curriculum runs from foundational technique through the business side of running a med spa. A typical week moves from anatomy and consultation practice early on into live injection work as confidence builds, with business topics woven in throughout rather than saved for a single lecture at the end. Here’s what that covers in practice:
- Botox and filler injection technique. Dosing fundamentals through more advanced sculpting work, with an emphasis on natural-looking results.
- Facial anatomy. The structural landmarks and individual variation that safe, effective injection depends on.
- Patient consultation and safety. How to assess a patient properly, set realistic expectations, and reduce the chance of complications.
- Advanced techniques. PRP and PDO threads, for trainees who want to expand past Botox and filler.
- Business and operations. Pricing, marketing, and how to scale a practice once you’re injecting confidently.

Where does ITA offer hands-on injector training?
Eight locations across Texas: Austin, Argyle, Colleyville, Dallas, Fort Worth, Plano, The Woodlands, and Waxahachie.
Is this program open to nurses and nurse practitioners?
Yes. RNs, NPs, and PAs all train in our program, alongside physicians and dentists.
Do graduates get a certification?
Yes, every trainee completes a credentialing process and receives certification on finishing the program.
How is this different from a typical weekend Botox course?
Training happens inside active med spas with real patients, not a rented conference room. You’re seeing actual consultations and procedures from day one, not just watching a demonstration.
Can an LVN train in this program and then inject in Texas?
An LVN can take the training, but Texas doesn’t permit LVNs to perform cosmetic injections independently, even under physician supervision. This program is built for RNs, NPs, PAs, physicians, and dentists whose licenses allow it.
How do I know which of the eight locations is right for me?
Distance is usually the deciding factor, but patient mix counts too. If you already have some injection experience, Colleyville or Plano gives you more advanced cases to work with. If you’d rather start in a smaller setting with more direct attention, Argyle or Waxahachie tends to suit that better.
